You can see that the easel stand retains the Sony name. With all the changes Sony made to the cabinet molds when supplying Hoffman with the parts, it would have been easy for them to drop their own name from the stand, or to add the Hoffman name. This convinces me that leaving the Sony name on there was an intentional act and part of the deal with Hoffman.
