The six-digit serial number label is somewhat unique among Toshiba transistor radios, so deserves a short comment. Without going into details, I have witnessed enough samples of the 6TP-335 that share the same serial numbers to suggest strongly that Toshiba used a single number for the sets made in one production run. This varies from the sequential numbering attributed to individual units that is seen on a large percentage of Toshiba models.
