Sony TR-6
in Dark Green

Enough of the two-dimensional scans I used for the cream and light green examples. The next few pages display collector Alan Eaton's* dark green TR-6 posed to give a better idea of this early transistor radio's sleek lines. Note the unique spelling error in the lettering on this radio's decorative front strip. It's a "TRANSISIOR 6"!

*Note: Alan likes to refer to this colour as British Racing Green. The description definitely fits, although I tend to call it deep forest green. As a digression, I find this colour one of the hardest to capture satisfactorily with a digital camera, and scanners do an even worse job of it. I've tried to represent it in worthy fashion, but please do forgive the colour variation you will see on these pages!
