This closer look reveals the use of six Sony oval transistors (2T512 - 522 x 2 - 66 - 65 x 2), a green oval Sony varistor (1T41), and a Sony diode (1T23) wrapped in grey shrink tubing.
But it also shows attention to quality and detail. A metal clip at the top of the cabinet helps secure the back cover in place, and the easel stand the radio can lean on is supported by a large panel on the inside of the back cover that is riveted down in two places.
