The Inside Look
All in all a very simple design that makes the radio easy to disassemble and easy to work on. This one is made for BIG service fingers. Only two screws need be removed to pull the chassis. Another two screws secure the speaker to the circuit board, so it comes right out with the chassis. Check out the wild looping the dial string must traverse. Five of the six posts it wraps around are just rivets that don't move. There's only one pulley used. I haven't highlighted them, but you can make out three of the oval transistors and one top-hat in the second photo from the left.
